January 24 – 28, 2022

In phonics this week we are learning the sounds of these vowel teams: ou, oa, ie & igh.

We will not have spelling words this week.

Our read aloud books this week all have to do with answering questions about animals.

During math, we are practicing balancing equations. For example, does 7+3 = 4 + 5? Another example would be what is a number sentence that is the same as 8+2?

On Tuesday, we will celebrate the 100th day of school by doing activities that all have to do with the number 100.

Wednesday is an early release day for students at 11:30 a.m. Teachers will have professional development.

I am looking forward to another great week with your students!
